Across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia, the route moves from Sarajevo and Mostar to Dubrovnik and Split, then onward toward Zagreb, Novi Sad, and Belgrade.

It works well as a first multi-country program because the geography remains readable while still giving the journey real regional range.

Hotels, pacing, and how much weight to place on coast, capitals, or cultural depth can all be tailored before confirmation.

Day By Day

The full itinerary.

Day 1

Sarajevo

Arrival at Sarajevo International Airport, meet and assist, transfer to the hotel, check in, and a first introduction to the city. The experience begins with Sarajevo’s Old Town, where Ottoman, Austro Hungarian, and local Bosnian layers meet in one living urban fabric. Guests visit Vijećnica, the magnificent City Hall that stands as one of the most representative buildings of the Austro Hungarian period, before continuing to the Spring of the River Bosna, one of the most peaceful and beloved natural sites in the country. It is a gentle first day that welcomes travellers through both history and atmosphere.

Day 2

Sarajevo – Mostar – Dubrovnik

After breakfast, departure for Mostar. Upon arrival, guests enjoy a walking tour of the old town and visit the iconic Old Bridge, the most recognized symbol of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A short historical introduction helps bring the city’s emotional and cultural depth to life. The journey then continues to Dubrovnik, where a city tour includes Pile Gate, the Great Onofrio Fountain, Sponza Palace, and Gundulic Square. The day beautifully moves from the warmth of Herzegovina to the refined coastal grandeur of Dubrovnik.

Day 3

Dubrovnik – Ston – Split

After breakfast, the route follows the Pelješac area toward Ston, where guests see the famous walls, often described as the second longest defensive wall system in the world after the Great Wall of China. Lunch is planned in Ston, after which the journey continues to Split. This day offers a shift from fortified coastal heritage to Dalmatian city rhythm, creating a route that feels both scenic and culturally rewarding.

Day 4

Split and Trogir

Today is dedicated to Split and its Roman legacy. Guests visit Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the Peristyle and the Cathedral, experiencing the layers of ancient power and Mediterranean life that still define the city today. After lunch, the journey continues to Trogir for a walking tour through its old streets before returning to Split. It is a day of elegant stone cities, open squares, and Adriatic character.

Day 5

Split – Plitvice – Zagreb

An early departure leads toward Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the region’s most famous natural treasures and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests enjoy the scenery of its lakes, waterfalls, and wooden pathways before continuing to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. The day combines the purity of nature with the cosmopolitan calm of a capital city, ending with free time for rest and dinner.

Day 6

Zagreb – Novi Sad

After check out, guests discover Zagreb through a city tour that includes Ban Jelačić Square, St Mark’s Church, the Cathedral, and the wider city center. The journey then continues to Novi Sad in Serbia. This day brings a graceful transition from Central European elegance to the softer, river shaped charm of Vojvodina.

Day 7

Novi Sad – Belgrade

The day begins with a city tour of Novi Sad, including its main square, a walk through the streets, and a visit to Petrovaradin Fortress, often called the Gibraltar of the Danube. After this, departure for Belgrade follows. Arrival, hotel check in, dinner, and overnight in the Serbian capital. The route offers a strong feeling of historical continuity, from one Danube city to another.

Day 8

Belgrade – overnight drive to Sarajevo

Guests spend the day exploring Belgrade, including the Josip Broz Tito Memorial House and Museum and a walk along Knez Mihailova Street. Lunch and dinner are arranged at a restaurant, and in the evening the journey continues by night drive toward Sarajevo. This is a day that closes the Serbian chapter with depth, memory, and urban energy.

Day 9

Sarajevo

Arrival in Sarajevo, hotel check in, and time to relax. The day is designed for lighter discovery through shopping and leisure in Sarajevo City Center, Alta Shopping Centre, and the city center itself. After several moving days on the road, this part of the itinerary allows guests to reconnect with the destination at a calmer, more personal pace.

Day 10

Departure

Breakfast, check out, transfer to the airport, and departure. The tour concludes with a journey full of cities, stories, landscapes, and impressions that stay with travellers long after the final transfer.

FAQ

Common questions before a multi-day enquiry.

Is this journey private?

Yes. This template is positioned as a private multi-day journey. Final delivery can be adapted around your dates, accommodation style, pace, and group size before confirmation.

Can the route or overnight pattern be adjusted?

Yes. The published structure is the clearest starting point, but overnight cities, emphasis, and pacing can be refined when preparing the final proposal.

Are entrance fees included?

Entrance fees are quoted separately unless a final proposal explicitly includes them. The source planning document marked fee figures as indicative only, so the confirmed version is always shared directly before booking.

How should I think about border waiting times and longer drives?

On a regional overland route, waiting times can shift with season and local conditions. That is why the page shows route notes clearly instead of hiding them behind marketing copy.

What happens after I send an enquiry?

Blossom Tours replies with the next practical step: availability, hotel logic, transfer approach, and a tailored EUR quote that matches your group rather than a one-size-fits-all price.
